Dear Friends and Partners in Ministry,
Our 2025 Fundraising Banquet, “For Such a Time as This” held this September was beautiful. What a night! Jesus’ name was glorified! After a hard week for our nation, it was such a joy to gather, worship and to step into our calling and commission with greater faith. I have immense gratitude for your ongoing prayers and generosity.
This past year has been truly extraordinary for LaVie.
Thanks to the faithfulness of God and the generosity of so many—including the Gianforte Family Foundation and a final estate gift from dear friend Jan Kirk—we were able to move into our new, beautiful, life-giving building at 2501 4th Avenue and we are now 100% debt-free. If you haven’t had a tour, please come by; we love showing you the intentionality behind every room, designed to make women feel seen, safe, and loved.
A Year of Expanded Reach and Record Impact
Because of this new space and your support, God has opened more doors for ministry than ever before.
We have expanded our team to include availability for an amazing biblical counselor, Virginia Powers, on site. We also added a phenomenal nurse practitioner and welcomed Dr. Gordon as our new medical director.
Our reach is growing rapidly. We served 20% more abortion-minded women in 2024 than in any single year over the past 35 years. We also walked alongside more families experiencing miscarriage, giving them a safe place to grieve and resources to heal.
Beyond direct care, we strengthened our presence in the community and the policy arena:
- Care Coordination: We strengthened our care coordination program, ensuring every vulnerable patient receives follow-up, resources, and ongoing support.
- Policy Wins: Together with partners across Montana, LaVie helped pass HB-388, the Pregnancy Medical Protection Act. This landmark law is the first of its kind in the nation and protects centers like ours from being targeted simply because we don’t provide abortions. It is already serving as a model for clinics across the U.S..
- Innovative Outreach: Recognizing that if we aren’t where women are searching, abortion providers will be, we launched innovative outreach, including texting options, adding a chatbot to our website, and investing in more digital marketing. We also purchased a portable ultrasound machine, thanks to the area Lutheran churches and many of you, allowing us to bring the miracle of life into classrooms and communities.
- Post-Abortion Healing: Virginia relaunched the post-abortion support program, graduating three courageous women into healing and now leading another group. Dr. Roberts is even preparing to launch our first-ever men’s group for post-abortion healing this fall.
The Intensifying Battle
Our vision is clear: we want to make abortion unthinkable by meeting women earlier, offering more wrap-around care, and equipping both moms and dads. We want families not only to choose life, but to thrive in it.
Yet, the battle has intensified like never before. Medication abortion is now the majority of abortions nationwide. In Montana, abortions rose 28% in 2023. Drug-induced abortions—the abortion pills—rose 38% in just one year, and now over 80% of the abortions done in MT are via the abortion pill. These pills are marketed as private, easy, and safe, but the reality is that women face risks, often alone, without accurate medical guidance or emotional support.
A Snapshot of Just One Day
Your partnership is the reason LaVie can stand in the gap, offering love, truth, and real support to women and families in crisis.
Jeanne, our lead receptionist, put together a snapshot of an actual day this past week, demonstrating the urgent need for our services:
- At 8:45 a.m., a proud dad picked up diapers and wipes he earned by completing his Earn While You Learn curriculum. He wasn’t just learning—he was becoming the dad his baby needs.
- At 9:00 a.m., a woman walked in for a pregnancy test. After multiple miscarriages, she was terrified, convinced she could never carry again. That morning, she learned she was pregnant. She plans to parent, but she carries deep trauma. Our nurses loved on her, educated her, and reminded her she is not alone.
- At 9:15 a.m., the phone rang. A mom in her second trimester—already in OB care—said she was now considering abortion. She was terrified. We said, “Come in today.”
- At 9:45, another frantic call. A mama was told there was “no heartbeat” at her OB office today and was told, “They’d see her back you in four weeks.” We said, “Come now.” By 10:30, she was in our clinic, looking at her healthy baby’s strong heartbeat. Her tears of panic turned into tears of joy.
- And the day went on:
- A teen mom and her mother, overwhelmed but determined, signed up for our parenting program.
- A grieving couple who lost their baby received compassionate care and prayer with our onsite biblical counselor.
- A mama abandoned by her partner at 18 weeks—scared and considering abortion—saw her baby on the ultrasound. She left encouraged, supported, and was now strongly considering adoption.
- And that evening at 6:00 p.m., our PACE post-abortion recovery group met. The stories were heavy. But one woman stayed after group, heard the Gospel clearly, and prayed to receive Jesus
as her Lord and Savior
All of that happened in just one day at LaVie.
If LaVie didn’t exist, most of these stories would have ended in tragedy. That anxious mama may have lived in fear for weeks, and that woman in the post-abortion support group may never have met Virginia and been led to say yes to Jesus Christ.
Will You Help Us Keep Saying “Yes”?
Every transformed life, every saved baby, every restored family is a direct result of your partnership. Your gift is not charity. It is rescue. It is prevention. It is a legacy.
Every ultrasound, every consultation, and every “yes” to a desperate phone call costs us resources. Each story we share with you represents hundreds, sometimes thousands, of dollars in care for only one person. But we know we cannot put a price tag on a life saved, or a soul redeemed.
Will you help ensure that tomorrow morning, when the phone rings at 9:15, we can say “yes”?.
Would you prayerfully consider giving $500, maybe a $1,000, or whatever God puts on your heart, to help us keep saying yes?.
When you give, you are stepping into the story of a dad who shows up, a grieving couple who is comforted, and a woman who discovers hope in Jesus Christ.
Together, let’s keep saying yes—to Jesus, to mothers, to fathers, and to every unborn child who deserves a chance at life.
